(blood test/urine test/cardiac test/esophagogastroduodenoscopy)
Sedative esophagogastroduodenoscopy can be performed on the same day of surgery, and you can undergo the cardiac test on the day of the surgery. As the blood and urine test should be done at least one day ahead of the surgery, you can visit the clinic one time for consultation and tests. In some cases, if you do not have a particular chronic illness, you can come to the clinic by 9 am on the day of surgery and take tests before the surgery. After approximately 1 hour ~ 1 hour 30 minutes, we can check the test results and then you can undergo the surgery.
Surgery is performed for approximately 1 hour including sedative endoscopy. In most cases, you can be discharged in 3 ~ 4 hours after the surgery.
Approximately 2 weeks after the S loop gastric banding comes the period in which the surgical site is recovered to normal and the band takes its place. Thus, you should eat soft foods in small quantities frequently not to create any difficulties to the surgical site for up to 2 weeks. If you eat food in large amounts or solid food during this period, complications are likely to occur.
Once four weeks have passed after the surgery, the band will really begin to be adjusted. In general, it is adjusted to an appropriate state if it is adjusted 5-7 times. The interval for adjustment can be as little as one week. You can feel the effect of the surgery more quickly with the adjusting is done on a weekly, rather than a monthly basis
